As the US economy continues its downward spiral (sorry guys & gals), I think more creativity, resourcefulness, and the days of old ‘by any means necessary’ survival & lifestyle techniques are swiftly re-emerging into our culture.
Like the stories my friends from the Soviet Union used to tell me about vintage x-rays being used as vinyl for pressing records. (How cool would it be to see a boney ribcage spin on a turn table?) Now I hear about barber shops doubling up as nightclubs, and other odd pairings.
Check out The Blind Barber Shop in New York City. It’s a clever example of things & businesses to come.
