So far so good. Spending the holiday just like I like it — like a stick in the mud! I love staying clear of all the social norms. It makes me feel all warm & cozy inside (it makes me happy!) Plus, it gives my brain & mouth a break.
What I was present to:
I was present to the fact that I needed some down time today. Even though I had lots of work to do, I decided to pull back a little and spent a large portion of the day relaxing & recouping.
What I did today:
See above. I also went for a kind of slushy walk.
What I learned:
I learned I have to do what is right for me — always. Otherwise it feels toxic in my heart.
What I shared:
I gave two malas I made away. I also shared my needs, thoughts and feelings.
What I loved:
I loved the feeling of my blankets. I have a bunch of relatively thin ones stacked on top of each other. It makes it feel like one big plush one.
What I know:
I know I’ve said this repeatedly in various ways… but life is short. You have to be real & true to yourself and live it the best way you know how. It can sometimes mean ruffling other people’s feathers or making people feel extremely loved. You have to accept both. They both go hand in hand.
